What is our responsibility to the animals whose likeness we draw?
I believe that art and illustration must examine the representation of animals as we question and challenge the representation of people.
Illustration often repeats ideas about animals without examining the reality.

Becoming Beings explores the visual representation of non-humans and discusses and challenges persistent negative stereotypes such as we see with the representation of circus animals, wolves, farm animals and so on. I’ll also be celebrating the many positive representations out there.
